Helmholtz Zentrum Hereon - Climate Service Center Germany

Scientific Programmer - Since

Climate Service Center Germany offers products, advisory services and decision-relevant knowledge based on sound scientific knowledge in order to support government, administration and business in their efforts to adapt to climate change.

My work includes maintenance and development of the regional climate model REMO and the surrounding software packages.

  • Maintenance and development of a regional climate model.
  • Development of a NetCDF data processing pipeline.
  • Implementation of a continuous integration gitflow workflow.

PhD Candidate - -

I worked as a PhD Candidate in the Physics Department at the University of Hamburg in Germany. My main work was in the field of computational fluid dynamics and radiative transfer. During the three years, I developed and implemented new alogrithms for an existing hydrodynamical code package named FLASH.

  • Implementation of radiative transfer algorithms for AMR fluid dynamics.
  • Running high-performance hydrodynamical simulations on star formation.
  • Tutor for undergraduate students.
